The NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme
Happypet is excited to be a member of the Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme which allows New Zealanders to recycle their soft plastic bags and wrappers.
Happypet's participation in the scheme means our customers can drop their empty, clean and dry soft plastic bags into the Soft Plastics Recycling Bins at supermarket and retail premises. Drop-off locations can be found HERE.
With your support, your recycled soft plastic can be made into other products including fence posts, vegetable gardens, and garden edging. There is now onshore processing of post-consumer soft plastics; Future Post in Waiuku; SaveBoard in Hamilton and Second Life Plastics in Levin - which are great examples of Kiwi ingenuity and where we send your recycled soft plastic.
